Every week I make a dinner menu and a grocery list. This way I know exactly what we’re having throughout the week and I don’t get stressed over what I’m going to make or if I have the ingredients on hand.  Most of the time I prepare dinner while everyone is at school and my husband is at work, but sometimes that doesn’t always work so there are times when I need a quick and easy dinner.  A brand that I’ve trusted for quite some time is Marie Callender’s.  Their frozen dinners and desserts are homemade goodness without all the work!   Not only is the food delicious, but also the company.   Right now they are running a Comforts from Home Project.

It supports the men and women who are serving in the military. This is dear to my heart because my husband was in the Marine Corps and I know first hand how hard it is at times, especially when they are deployed.  Any help and support is greatly appreciated!

Every time you enter a code from a specially marked package of Marie Callender’s meals or desserts, Marie’s will make a donation to USO2GO, a USO program that brings electronics, sports gear, books, games, and more to troops stationed in remote locations. How wonderful is that!!!

Not only are they providing a donation they are airing a TV special called a Hero’s Welcome. This will celebrate one serviceman’s return to the comforts of his own home and follow the comforts from home to American troops overseas. The Comforts from Home Project will also welcome one special soldier back to her/his family in a national television event “A Hero’s Welcome” airing on November 11, 2014 across a range of your favorite networks including HGTV, Food Network and the Cooking Channel. You can keep up to date by following the Marie Callender’s facebook page.

Tune-in as Marie Callender’s, the USO and an army of experts from food, home and travel provide the comforts of home as only Marie Callender’s can, in a truly heartwarming homecoming you’ll always remember.  “A Hero’s Welcome” will welcome one special soldier back to their family in a national television event airing on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2014.
