Let me introduce you to a new snack food that I think you'll be pretty excited about: Bare Fruit Snacks. They offer healthy fruit chips that are 100% Organic, there is no added sugar, no preservatives and are gluten free! They are low in calories, high in fiber and the only added ingredient is Organic cinnamon! I told you they were good ;)
They offer Cinnamon Apple Chips (pictured above), Fuji Apple Chips, Baked-Dried Mangos, Granny Smith Apple Chips, Baked-Dried Cherries & Baked-Dried Pears (not pictured).
I was very excited when I was asked to review these because our family loves apple chips. I received the Cinnamon Apple. When the bag arrived, not only was I surprised to see how big it was, but how full it was. There are a ton of chips! They are crisp and sweet with a dash of cinnamon that doesn't overpower them at all. I also like how the apples weren't peeled because that means extra fiber. These are delicious and I can't wait for you to give them a try. Bare Fruit has graciously offered one of you a CASE (12 bags)! All you have to do is "like" their Facebook page then leave a comment below stating that you did.
When I review a product I love to create a recipe using that product. This time I came up with an amazing Caramel Apple Dip that is a wonderful way to dip the apple chips into. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients are as follows:
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 C powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. half & half
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 C Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple Chips
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C butter, no substitutes
1 Tbsp. pancake syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 medium apple, peeled & diced
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Cream the cream cheese, powdered sugar, half & half and vanilla.
Measure out 1 cup of apple chips.
Grind them up and mix it into the cream cheese mixture; set aside.
In a small skillet add the brown sugar, butter, syrup, vanilla and apple.
Bring to a boil and cook for about two minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda.
Allow to cool for a few minutes.
Remove 4 Tbsp. of the caramel syrup (not the apples) and stir into the cream cheese mixture.
Spoon out onto a serving plate. Pour remaining caramel apple mixture over top and serve with apple chips and apples.
Take an apple chip, dip it in and enjoy!
Now don't you want to try these delicious apple chips too?
